How do I order & pay online?

  1. Go to the AJDC online shop page , select ‘Create Account’ and follow the prompts.
  2. Once you’ve created your online account, click on the SUBSCRIPTIONS button on the menu bar.
  3. Choose your subscription from the options provided and press the relevant Subscribe button
    (NOTE: if you have a special promotion or renewal code – enter the code in the ‘Enter a Promotional Code’ box and click Update.
  4. Check the subscription and delivery address details are correct and select ‘Go To Checkout’.
  5. Enter your payment details and press ‘Process Transaction’. 
  6. You will receive an emailed receipt and your subscription will start with the next issue.

How do I renew my subscription?

  1. Go to the AJDC online shop page , select ‘Log On’ to access your account, and click on the RENEWALS button on the menu bar.
  2. Your current subscription details (including any gift subscriptions) will be shown.
  3. Enter your renewal code (on the bottom of your renewal letter) and click the ‘Renew’ button. 
  4. Process your payment in the Shopping Cart.
  5. You will receive an emailed receipt and your subscription will continue with the next issue.

What if I want to order multiple or bulk subscriptions?

If you will be the payer for several gift subscriptions, you can simply add these to your online account.

If you would like to purchase a bulk subscription for 20 or more subscriptions, please call the AJDC subscriptions team on (03) 8317 8163 and they can set this up for you. Subscriptions of 20 issues or more will receive a 15% discount on the single subscription price.

What if I want to start my subscription with an older issue?

If you would like to include an older issue as part of your subscription (perhaps the current issue) please call the AJDC subscriptions team on (03) 8317 8163 and they can organise to send the issue to you and adjust your subscription.

What if I want to start my subscription with an older issue?

  1. On the AJDC online shop page , when choosing a subscription from the options provided, simply click the ‘Gift’ box and press Subscribe.
  2. Enter the gift recipient’s details and Save Changes.
  3. The subscription will be added to your cart (with any other subscriptions and/or back issues if ordering).
  4. Enter your payment details and press ‘Process Transaction’. 
  5. You will receive an emailed receipt and your gift subscription will be sent upon publication of the next issue.

How do I order back issues?

  1. Go to the AJDC online shop page , select ‘Log On’ to access your account or ‘Create Account’ to set up an account.
  2. Click on the BACK ISSUES & MERCHANDISE button on the menu-bar and select ‘Back Issues’.
  3. Choose the back issue(s) option and press ‘Add to Cart’.
  4. Process payment in the Shopping Cart.
  5. You will receive an emailed receipt and your back issue will be mailed to you.

How do I change my delivery address?

  1. Go to the AJDC online shop page , select ‘Log On’ to access your account, and click on the MY ACCOUNT button on the menu bar.
  2. Update your details on the screen and press Save Changes.
  3. You can also update/change your password from the My Account screen.

What if I can’t access my online account?

If you are having trouble accessing your account, please check that your username and password are correct. Otherwise, please call the AJDC customer service team on (03) 8317 8163 and they will help you get reconnected.

What if I’ve forgotten my online account password?

If you have forgotten your password, simply click on the ‘Forgotten Password’ link on the ‘Log On’ page and a reset link will be sent to the email address attached to your account.

How do I cancel my subscription?

If you would like to cancel your subscription, please call the AJDC subscriptions team on (03) 8317 8163 or email dementiajournal@data.com.au with your request. If you are cancelling a partially used subscription you may be eligible for a refund for the unsent issues.

Why advertise in AJDC?

The AJDC is a specialist publication targeted directly at decision makers and buyers of products and services related to the care of people living with dementia. Almost 50% of AJDC’s current subscribers are managers/administrators in the health/aged/dementia care sectors. 

Our website, which features a selection of free articles, news, resources and events for the dementia care sector, reaches an average of 3,000 highly targeted individual visitors per month.

What are the different types of ads available?

Premium position display advertising space is available in each of our quarterly print editions (January, April, July, October) and online (leaderboard and skyscraper), along with print and online advertorial features (Sponsored Content) and inserts / onserts in our print editions. How do I start advertising?

You can download the latest AJDC Advertising Pack for options and prices and then complete and submit the booking form or contact us to inquire about advertising opportunities by emailing Advertising at admin@journalofdementiacare.com      

Writing for us

Do you accept unsolicited articles?

Yes, AJDC does accept unsolicited articles they are subject to the same review process that is applied to all articles. Write for AJDC

Do I have to submit the article through the Manuscript Manager system?

The AJDC editorial team strongly prefers that authors use the Manuscript Manager system, and we can provide assistance to support you to do so. Please email AJDC’s Managing Editor at admin@journalofdementiacare.com if you have any questions about this aspect of the submission process.

How long does it usually take for an article to be published, from date of submission?

This varies greatly, depending on the time involved in reviewing and editing the article, and on the volume of articles we are currently processing. Some may take as little as one month while others may take up to nine months. We undertake to provide authors with feedback from first review within four weeks of date of submission.

How much editorial support is available to authors?

We are able to assist authors with redrafting articles in light of reviewer feedback, and we copy edit all articles before publication.

Do authors have final approval of the edited article before publication?

Yes, the final manuscript with all revisions and copy edits tracked is sent to the submitting author for approval before layout. We also provide authors with a page proof to check and approve before publication.
