This Website is owned by the University of Wollongong (UOW) and managed on its behalf by Dementia Training Australia. Access to and use of this Website is and the products and services available through this Website is subject to the following terms, conditions and notices (Terms of Use). By using the Website, you are agreeing to all of the Terms of Use, as may be updated by us from time to time. You should check this page regularly to take notice of any changes we may have made to the Terms of Use.
The Australian Journal of Dementia Care is published by the University of Wollongong (“University”) and managed on behalf of the University by Dementia Training Australia.
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your purchase of the Australian Journal of Dementia Care (“AJDC”) and your use of this website. Please read these Terms carefully before making any payments. By submitting a payment, you agree to be bound by these Terms:
1. Payment Methods
This website only accepts payment via credit/debit card (excluding AMEX). For all other payment options, including invoicing, please contact the AJDC Subscriptions Team on (03) 8317 8163.
2. Payment Processing and Security
We take the security of your payment information seriously. All payments are processed by our third-party provider, Database Consultants Australia (“DCA”). DCA is required to be PSI-DSS compliant. Further information about DCA’s PSI-DSS compliance can be found on its website. DCA uses Windcave as its payment gateway, which is subject to the terms and conditions contained on Windcave’s website.
3. Payment Currency and Taxes
All prices listed on the website include GST and are processed in Australian Dollars (AUD). You are responsible for any currency conversion fees or charges applied by your bank or financial institution.
4. Payment Confirmation
Upon successful completion of your payment transaction, you will receive a confirmation email or notification. Please retain this confirmation for your records. If you do not receive confirmation of your payment, please contact the AJDC Subscriptions Team on (03) 8317 8163.
5. Cancellation of Subscription
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may cancel your subscription at any time for a pro-rata refund on the value of any remaining issues until the end of your subscription. Please contact the AJDC Subscriptions Team on (03) 8317 8163 to process any cancellation of your subscription and/or refund.
6. Order Processing
Orders are typically processed within 2 business days from the date of your purchase. If we are unable to fulfil your order, we will contact you to arrange an agreeable alternative item, a backorder or a full refund (excluding any bank fees/charges issued by your bank). Each issue will be mailed to subscribers in the period between the last week of the month before the cover date and the first week of the month of the cover date.
7. Delivery
Standard domestic shipping via Australia Post typically takes up to 10 business days from the date of posting, but delivery times may vary depending on your location and is subject to Australia Post’s delivery schedule. Please note that we do not provide tracking information or delivery notifications.
8. Returns Policy
Requests for return of your item and/or refunds are not accepted for change of mind. If you receive a damaged, defective or incorrect item, please contact the AJDC Subscriptions Team by email (dementiajournal@data.com.au) or phone (03 8317 8163) and quote the subscription ID or merchandise receipt number to arrange a replacement or refund. Please note that nothing in these Terms is intended to limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may modify or update these Terms at any time and will take reasonable steps to bring any material changes to your attention in advance of the change taking effect. By continuing to subscribe to the AJDC after any amendment to these Terms as notified to you, you will be deemed to have accepted the amended Terms.
10. Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of that State.
