Catherine has worked in the dementia care field for over 30 years. She began as an activities worker in an aged care facility then worked for many years as a social worker with people with dementia. For the past 15 years Catherine has worked as a writer and editor specialising in dementia care, with key roles including the Editor of the UK Journal of Dementia Care from 2012-2014, and editor of Social Care Institute for Excellence’s (SCIE) Dementia web resource (2009-2015). She has been a Contributing Editor for the Australian Journal of Dementia Care since 2018.
